Scenario settings

Let’s take a closer look at the the Scenario Settings page; this is where you set scenario defaults like decision times, scoring, button colour, etc.

Scenario settings...

Name*

Give your Scenario a meaningful name. The name, or title, of the scenario will appear on the live shared page.

Countdown (seconds)*

This is the default amount of time you will give end users to make a decision. You can override this time for individual decision points in the Node editor. The countdown time is also the time, from the end of video media, that your interactions will appear.

Feedback & scoring

Select whether you’d like to show a feedback report at the end of the interactive video. You can provide feedback for each interaction you add to your scenario. If you choose to show the report but do not add contextual feedback, your end users will still see a visual representation of every action they took.

If you choose to use scoring, you must set a minimum pass score.  Scores are calculated based on the points accrued for the choices made by the end user. If you choose to use scoring, the end user will see their score and a Pass/Fail status in the feedback report.  For more on scoring, click here.

Text and button styles

Set the default button text, colour and position settings in this area.

You have several options for adjusting the colour of text and buttons. You can use the eyedropper to select a colour on screen, simply click on the eyedropper icon then move your mouse over your preferred colour – the colour you want must be visible on screen.  Alternatively, if you want to ensure you are using the correct brand colour, you can set the RGB, HSL or #HEXRef values. Simply toggle between the colour code systems by using the toggle arrows and enter the correct values in the boxes.

You can set the default button position using button alignment drop down as well. You can also move the position of buttons via the node editor.  If you are working with VR media, the buttons will default to a middle or central view.

Playback settings

Playback settings allow you to show a replay option at the end of the scenario.  You can also enable the playbar so that it shows during the interactive video. This allows the end user to pause, fast forward or rewind.

Show inventory/Show notebook

These features are only available during a free trial or with a CREATOR+ subscription. Tick to show the inventory or notebook on the front end of a published scenario. Enabling them allows the end user to use the inventory and notebook features.

Once you are happy with all the settings, click SAVE.

You can change any of these settings at any time by going to the Project, and selecting the settings link for the relevant scenario in your Scenario List.  If your scenario is already published, you’ll have to go back to the Canvas and republish it to update your live Scenario.
